Green New Years Resolutions
With Christmas right around the corner, we decided to list what we think should should be every green person's New Year's Resolutions...don't scratch out the other resolutions that you have on account of us...maybe passing up the cookies after dinner is still a good idea.
Without any more delays or stupid jokes....
Top 5 Green New Year's Resolutions:
1. Plant some trees. Do it in your back yard, in your community, or buy a service that does it for you at American Forests.
2. Stop using plastic bags from the grocery store. I know it seems like a gimme, but I see people stuffing plastic bags into their Prius after a shopping trip. Buy a eco-friendly shopping bag instead.
3. Cut back on driving...no...for real. There is no need to drive short distances, especially in the summer, so get a bike or an electric scooter.
4. Stop using the refrigerator that is ten years old and get an Energy Star™ appliance instead. You will drastically cut down your carbon emissions by doing so.
5. Start making frequent visits to our site and help us make a difference. (Yep, this is the old shameless plug of one's site...)
Enjoy your holidays and make 2007 the year that you start taking environmental responsibility more seriously...
