You may have considered solar power for your rooftop. But how about some sun power on your pants?
A California fashion company called Silvr Lining has created the Go Urban Cargo Pant, which is made of “soft, vegan Ultrasuede and includes a pair of built-in photovoltaic panelsâ€, according to Earth Techling.
The high-tech pants feature a low-slung drawstring. Silvr Lining describes them as “lightweight, water-resistant, stain-repellent, and tough.â€
It features two side cargo pockets with independently functioning power supply. Other details include Taugua Nut button fly front and two back patch pockets with button down flaps.
While the design may not be to everyone’s taste (it reminds me a bit of Timothy Leary’s sartorial preferences in his later days), the functionality is amazing. It gives us a glance at what small-scale solar power can do for us.
