Fair Trade USA Launches Facebook and Smart Phone Apps

Fair trade is one of the great initiatives of our time. Fair Trade Certified means the product purchased complied with internationally-monitored environmental standards; farmers get the support they need to acquire resources and knowledge for sustainable growing, organic conversion, reforestation, and water conservation.

To make it easier for consumers to find Fair Trade Certified goods, Fair Trade USA recently launched a social media initiative called Fair Trade Finder, which works with Facebook and mobile operating systems iPhone and Android. The application allows consumers to enter their location to find out where they can buy Fair Trade Certified products nearby and populate the map with other Fair Trade Certified product locations.
