It’s hard to think of a more suitable setting for a eco-movie festival than the Amazon region in the north of Brazil. Cinemazônia arrives at its fifth edition in November this year to discuss global warming and is currently accepting submissions of shorts running up to 26 minutes and completed after 2000. Longer films are considered for a travelling show outside the competition. The works don’t have to deal with global warming per se but must tackle issues related to the environment. The application deadline is August 31.
