Garbage Warrior on Sundance Channel

He may well be called the ‘king of recycling’. Meet Michael Reynolds, an eco-warrior who for thirty years now has been developing what he calls ‘Earthship Biotecture’ by building self-sufficient, off-the-grid communities where design and function converge in eco-harmony. Beer cans, car tires, water bottles. Everything can be used in Reynolds’ sustainable vision.

Of course, there’s always government officials getting in the way. As these experimental structures defy state standards they create conflict between Reynolds and the authorities. But Reynolds and his crew are given a chance to prove their vision by mother nature itself when they apply their technique to help communities devastated by tsunamis and hurricanes.

Shot over three years and in four countries, Garbage Warrior will screen on Sundance Channel on April 01st.
