Japan Considering Solar Power For All New Buildings

Via Visited Asia
In the wake of Japan’s natural disasters and nuclear spill-out, the country’s prime minister Naoto Kan announced that it would look for renewable energy alternatives to power the country.

In line with that previous announcement, AFP reports that the country is expected to announce at the G8 Summit in France that it plans to make it compulsory for all new buildings and houses to be fitted with solar panels by 2030.

The country also has plans to introduce energy conservation measures alongside alternative energy.

But nuclear is not exiting the Japanese energy stage yet. Kan is also expected to announce it will continue operating nuclear plants.
