Kilowatt Ours: a movie review

Kilowatt OursI recently went to a private home to watch the movie Kilowatt Ours. This is a movie about a couple who wants to stop using coal and nuclear energy to power their apartment. The first part of their movie is explanatory. There are some very good graphical representations of how much energy is used. They actually dump 6 tons of coal, to show how much coal an average family uses in a month. They take us to West Virginia so that we can see mountaintop removal in action. But they also take us through how they save energy.

Their methods are very good for conservation and I especially like their idea that reducing energy use can be seen as an alternative energy source. I would recommend the movie. Go find out where you can see it.
