Last week a new video premiered at the 7th Annual LABC Sustainability Summit. The video celebrates CLEAN LA Solar, touted as the U.S.’s largest urban rooftop solar program.

The program allows the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power to pay customers to generate solar power on their flat roof spaces, which abound in the sunny city.

The council wants to attract further investments totaling $500 million from other companies that want to invest in L.A’s green plans by laying down large arrays of solar panels.

The program aims at generating 150 megawatts of solar electricity, which would be enough to power 30,000 homes.
