Between today and next Wednesday, Energy Refuge will be in Ontario, Canada, covering the Ontario Global Water Leadership Summit.
The event is organized by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade and will feature water innovators, funders, thinkers, entrepreneurs and researchers, who will be discussing the future of innovation in the water sector.
Clean water is one of the big environmental challenges of our times. With climate change, water scarcity will become a serious issue for many of us – as it already is for billions of people. The good news is that technologies in water infrastructure, waste water management and water purification are driving new investments that are comparable to renewable energy, with $22 trillion expected to be spent on this sector over the next 20 years.
We’ll be attending seminars and talking to some of the luminaries attending the Ontario event, looking in particular for the intersection between the water and energy issues. So stay tuned and keep coming back to Energy Refuge for blog updates and news from the Ontario Global Water Leadership Summit.
