Applications will be judged by none other than Gary Anderson, the designer who in 1970 created the now ubiquitous recycle symbol, also in response to a design contest. He will be joined by contemporary designer Karim Rashid. The public will also get a chance to vote.
The idea is to celebrate Earth Day (22 April) and to represent “the evolution of bioplastics and the important role bioplastics play in safeguarding our environmentâ€, Cereplast says.
